PERTAMINA AND GERONG RIVER

Oil processing refinery, known as Pertamina Processing Unit (UP) III, this is one of the oldest refinery in Indonesia. In the world of oil and gas, the refinery has a production capacity of 120 MBCD (million barrels of capacity days) this supply of oil for Southern Sumatra region.

Refinery was originally divided into two parts with different ownership. Refinery in Plaju founded by Shell, the Dutch company in 1930. About five years later, in 1935, an American company, Stanvac, founded Gerong River refinery. BRIDGE OF PALEMBANG

Ampera BridgeAmpera Bridge is a bridge in the Palembang city, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Ampera bridge, which has become a symbol of the city, located in the middle of the Palembang city, linking regions and Seberang Ulu Seberang Ilir separated by the River Musi.

This bridge construction began on September 16, 1960, after obtaining approval from President Sukarno. Construction costs taken from the Japanese war reparation funds. Not only the cost, the program uses the bridge experts from these countries.
