MUSEUM OF SULTAN MAHMUD BADARUDDIN II PALEMBANG

Museum of SMB II PalembangThe building was built back up and dismantled and it was formerly the location of Fort Kuto Lamo often called Kuto Tengkuruk or Kuto Batu, where in the castle Kuto Lamo stood Palace of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Jayo Wikramo or Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I (1724-1758).

In 1821 the palace was under attack from the Dutch Government and on October 7, 1823 by Dutch Reguring Commisaris JL Van Seven House was ordered out to dismantle the empire monumental Palembangdan eliminate avenge aur River Loji burned by Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I in 1811. The building was completed in 1825 and subsequently made the Dutch Indies Government Commissioner for the Southern Sumatra as well as the Resident’s office.
